S3 Profiles

As has been the case for a number of years now, to mark the end of the Broad General Education phase of their education, over the last few weeks S3 students have been creating an S3 Profile which sums up their key learning and achievements from their first three years in Eyemouth High School.

Most S3 students completed these on Wednesday, saving a copy in school and printing out a copy to take home. Some S3 students were involved in the Athletics Championship on Wednesday and so have the opportunity to finish off their Profiles tomorrow. If students are out of school tomorrow (e.g. because they are on a Duke of Edinburgh expedition), they will have an opportunity to complete their Profile next week.

If you have a son or daughter in S3, please ask them to see a copy of their S3 Profile. It is a document that they should feel proud of.

Mr Robertson

Fantastic day with students in workshop with Brita Granstrom last week – here are some of the amazing results!

Truly Wicked!

29 students and 4 staff had a fab and rather unexpected evening watching ‘Wicked’ the musical at Edinburgh Playhouse last night! Thanks to one of our students contacts we were surprised by the stage manager who gave us a highly priveledged backstage tour at the end of the show…..this was indeed a once in a lifetime opportunity that the students and staff alike were totally overwhelmed by! Once again the impeccable and respectful behaviour of the students did Eyemouth High School proud. Thank you to all their supportive parents who had a VERY late night – we really appreciated your understanding! A truly ‘wicked’ night!

Fab support from students and staff standing up against homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying at EHS!

SQA Exams and Exam Leave

SQA Exams and Exam Leave

The first 10 days of SQA have gone well. It has been good to see so many students coming into school to study during Exam Leave. Whilst there are clearly some nerves, there is an atmosphere of ambition and determination, which is great to see.

One reminder to all students is that when in school – to study or to sit an exam – you should be in school uniform. I would appreciate it if parents could help to reinforce this expectation. We see it as an important aspect the culture of ambition and high expectations that we are working hard to develop.

Thank you for your support.
